  • National Center for Quality Afterschool

    The National Center for Quality Afterschool helps state education agencies and local practitioners develop high-quality, balanced programs that provide a safe and fun environment for academic enrichment as well as youth development activities. Check out their instructor's guides, available for all six content areas of their toolkit: literacy, math, science, homework help, technology, and the arts.

  • National Afterschool Association (NAA)

    The National Afterschool Association is the professional membership association for people who work with and for youth during Out-of-School time. NAA fosters positive youth outcomes by supporting, developing, and advocating for afterschool professionals and leaders. The Association is the leading network of OST professionals.

    The National League of Cities has more than two decades of experience and knowledge working with cities and municipal leaders to help strengthen local efforts to create, expand, and improve afterschool and summer learning opportunities. NLC has developed guidelines and best practices for cities, towns, and villages interested in supporting afterschool and summer learning programs.

    For 40 years, the National Institute on Out-of-School-Time (NIOST) has been leading the way in the OST field through both research and action.
